PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Quality Payment Programs Consultant is primarily responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with various quality payment program requirements and patient safety initiatives in the administrative and medical office settings. The Consultant works closely with the Quality Payment Programs Advisor to provide guidance to SEP medical offices in order to maintain compliance with regulatory and recognizing bodies including, but not limited to:

  • National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
  • Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and,
  • Center for Disease Control (CDC).

The Quality Payment Programs Consultant is a highly visible position that is responsible for promoting a culture of accountability and transparency across all SEP offices.

EDUCATION:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree, LPN/RN Licensure Optional

Desired: Master’s Degree in Healthcare related studies or process improvement

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum: Must have a valid driver’s license for travel between office sites (if applicable)

Desired: Certification from NCQA as a PCMH Content Expert preferred.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: 2-5 years in Healthcare, Population Management, Clinical Management or equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Knowledge of EHR report writing to support PCMH practice transformation activities.
  2. Experience with quality improvement (QI) and analyzing QI data
  3. Experience working directly with primary care practices preferably on practice transformation.
  4. Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team-based, decision-making culture.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently resulting in effective outcomes and on-time performance.
  7. Experience in planning and coordinating multi-disciplinary communications strategies, strategic initiatives, and events.
  8. Must respond and follow through to requests from customers promptly.
  9. Must work carefully and precisely with attention to detail.
  10. Must utilize resources wisely.
  11. Performs duties willingly and with initiative. Shares necessary information so co-workers can do the same.
  12. Cooperates with other departments and work groups.
